Daylight Solutions Introduces the Über Tuner™ Series of Broadly-Tunable External Cavity Quantum Cascade Lasers (ECqcL™)Apr 05, 2010 - Daylight Solutions, Inc. (Poway, CA), a leading manufacturer of advanced molecular detection and illumination solutions as well as spectroscopic laser sources, has released a new line of broadly tunable pulsed lasers. The Über Tuner™ series of ECqcL™ provide up to 250 cm-1 or 1.6 µm of continuous tuning in a single laser head. The complete series offers gapless coverage from 6.2 to 12.2 µm. The previous generation of pulsed lasers offered by Daylight Solutions is capable of guaranteed tuning ranges of 75 cm-1. The Über Tuner™ represents a new standard in commercially available broad tunability in the mid-IR.Combining Daylight Solutions’ patented ECqcL™ technology and recent advances in broadly tunable QC gain media with the advanced engineering of the Über Tuner™ cavity allows for precision tuning over the broadest wavelength range available to date. “Once again, we are delivering on our strategic plan to expand wavelength coverage in evermore flexible packages,” says Dr. Timothy Day, CEO/CTO of Daylight Solutions. “The Über Tuner™ is productizing performance that our customers have asked for again and again.
