Daylight Solutions introduces the Aries™ series of high-power and fixed-wavelength lasers in the mid-IR. A modular “socket” approach allows for flexibility in performance including up to 10 W or 7 different simultaneous wavelengths. Proprietary beam combination techniques allow for collinear beam output for most wavelength combinations. Operated through a flexible interface, the Aries™ systems are all air-cooled and offer true cw and high-duty cycle pulsed operation. Designed for high-power applications such as optical fiber testing, stand-off detection, infrared countermeasures, scene generation, and machining, they offer rugged environmental specifications with the ability to operate over a large temperature range and withstand shaking and vibration.

Following the successful introduction of the Aries™-100, Daylight Solutions is proud to announce the extension of the product line to even higher powers and more wavelength flexibility. The modular “socket” approach of the Aries™ series means that user-selected modules can be installed at the factory to provide the necessary performance. Up to seven sockets can be populated and combined to provide high-power or multiple wavelengths from a single system.
The engineering team from Daylight Solutions has its roots in external cavity development and our expertise has grown from scientific products to commercial telecom grade devices to the mid-infrared to high-power, multi-wavelength products to military hardened sub-systems to you. The Aries™ high-powered fixed-wavelength lasers are ready for your demanding application.

The key to high-power solid state laser performance is thermal management. Finite Element Analysis and strenuous environmental testing have guided our design and has resulted in systems that are incredibly stable and amazingly rugged. Each system will operate in high duty cycle pulsed or true continuous wave (cw) operation modes with only air cooling over their entire specified operating range. No chiller or cryogenic cooling is required.
